Marketing: Innovation

Marketing: InnovationCompanies face a dilemma. If you do not innovate, they will disappear. And if you innovate and their innovations are not successful, may disappear as well. Given that only successful on 20 percent of new products that target the consumer market and 40 percent of that target the enterprise market, the stakes are discouraging.

However, improving and developing new products the company provides more security than not. The key is to manage the innovation process better than the competition. Companies must train their employees to achieve creativity and innovation, style companies like 3M, Sony, Casio, Lexus, Honda and Brain. These companies are recognized as “product teams”, to the extent they see the development of new products as a continuous and interactive process in which join technical, sales teams and customers to develop, refine, adapt and improve products?

The innovation process must be managed carefully. In this process we must distinguish several phases: development of ideas, screening ideas, concept development and testing, business analysis, prototype development and testing, market testing and commercialization. Companies will have to build or acquire the skills required for each stage. They must also designate a recognized leader to lead the overall process of innovation. Continue reading

Is not loyalty marketing strategy we put in place when obsequiamos our best customers with a shot after eating at our restaurant with the hope to return soon? Or develop a small event in our facilities with customers who know they are about to make a buying decision? Of course those SMEs do marketing. What is missing is to be done in a structured and responding to business strategy.

But first things first: What is marketing and what is a marketing plan in an SME? And every time a summary of the fundamentals of communication strategies becomes a topic of the moment, reaches tens of retweets, it is confirmed that there is much to put upstart communicator.
